RCN Expands in Boston and Brings Customers More Telecomm Choices

More than 7,000 homes now have access in Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Hyde Park, South Boston and West Roxbury

Boston — February 18, 2010 — RCN Boston, a local provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet and premium voice services to residential and small-medium business customers, announced today that it has significantly expanded its coverage area in the neighborhoods of Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Hyde Park, South Boston and West Roxbury, bringing more choices for residents. More than 7,000 additional homes are now able to access RCN's rich fiber-optic network to bring them more than 100 HD channels, the fastest internet connections and superior customer service.

"For the past year, we have been inundated with requests from potential customers in Boston to bring RCN products and services to their homes. We are thrilled that we have added more than seven thousand homes throughout Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Hyde Park, South Boston and West Roxbury, and we hope to add more in the future," said Richard Wadman, senior vice president and general manager of RCN Boston.
